Swedish symphonic superstars Therion are the latest act to be confirmed for next year's Bloodstock.

Therion will bring their spectacular show to Catton Hall for their only UK appearance of 2011, one which they promise will be memorable, "The band is thrilled to get the opportunity to play the Bloodstock and promise they will impact the island (Britain) unforgettably."

Therion were the first metal band to utilise an orchestra, genuinely justifying their 'symphonic' tag, and blend the best elements of metal - especially it's darker, more underground side - and classical, utilising choirs and classical instrumentation to create a memorable show. They'll be playing the Ronnie James Dio Stage on the Saturday.

The grandiose death metallers are not the only ones making an exclusive festival appearance at Bloodstock Open Air, all the previously announced acts Mortal angel, Immortal, Rhapsody Of Fire and Triptykon are exclusives playing over the weekend of Friday 12th until Sunday 14th August 2011 at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire.

As well as the international heavy metal bands across three stages, Bloodstock offers a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.

Early bird tickets are on sale priced at £95 for adults, and £10 for a car parking pass. As of 15th December 2010 All Bloodstock festival tickets will increase in Price. Day tickets, and child tickets are expected to be on sale at a later date.
