Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have been confirmed for this summer's T in the Park.

Nick Cave
The dark Australian rockers who formed in 1983, bring their traditional bluesy rock sound and songs about the dark places of human existence found most recently on their 2008 album 'Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!' to T in the Park, for the frist time.

Ed Kuepper, guitarist with Australian garage rock outfit The Saints, will be joining the band on all the band's forthcoming summer festival dates. He replaces the departed Bad Seeds founder and guitarist Mick Harvey, who recently quit the band after 25 years.

Just a few of the expected 180 acts are confirmed so far. Blur, Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, Katy Perry, Razorlight, Elbow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pendulum, Peter Doherty, and White Lies. More acts are expected to be announced soon for the line-up at Balado, Scotland on Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July.

Tickets are not yet on sale.
