Richie Hawtin, Michael Mayer, Rob da Bank to slam at T in the Park

with The Subways, Jack Penate and more announced for the weekend

T in the Park which will be happening from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July has confirmed more artists for this year's festival

Five dance music acts will make their way to the 12,000 capacity Slam Tent this summer. Festival favourite Richie Hawtin, Slam first-timer German Michael Mayer, Bestival creator Rob da Bank, techno pair Miss Kittin & The Hacker and master re-mixer Dusty Kid who joins Erol Alkan are all confirmed as attending Balado, nr Kinross, Scotland.

Crae Caldwell of Slam Events said, "With T in the Park 2008 bigger and better than ever, the Slam Tent steps up a gear with announcements and gladly welcomes some long time friends to the party.With the addition of Minus' head honcho, Richie Hawtin to close Sunday, and Miss Kittin and The Hacker making their live debut for us, alongside Bestival creator Rob Da Bank, we have to say, it's the greatest dance tent in the world! We hope to make some new friends and blow some bass bins with our Weekend's worth of non stop beats..."

Two more acts are also confirmed today, The Subways who are added to Saturday’s Radio 1/NME Stage bill and Jack Penate for a Saturday afternoon King Tut's Tent slot.

T in the Park also confirmed the earlier news story that Amy Winehouse will be playing on the main stage. Expect a line-up of around 180 artists to play over 11 stages. A number of acts have been confirmed including the headliners of The Verve, Rage Against The Machine, R.E.M., plus Stereophonics, KT Tunstall, Feeder, The Wombats, The Fratellis, The Kooks, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon, The Prodigy, Primal Scream, Chemical Brothers, Interpol, Ian Brown, The Racounteurs, Biffy Clyro, Counting Crows, The Pigeon Detectives, The Feeling, Hot Chip, The Charlatans, The Pogues, Ben Folds, Reverend & The Makers, Seasick Steve, The Courteeners, Lightspeed Champion, The Ting Tings, and many more, with more still to be announced. TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT. The organisers of the festival strongly advise fans not to buy tickets from any unofficial sources or website auctions, as not only will they have to pay over the odds but there is a high chance that the ticket will not exist or will be a fake.

Fans who have not been successful should look out for Luxury Camping Packages that will be available in due course - as ever, the event strongly urges fans not to buy from unauthorised agents.
