YO1 Festival has been cancelled. Organisers made a statement saying,

"It is with much consideration and thought that we announce that YO1 Festival will not be run in 2015.

After the huge success of the Tour De France in 2014, the inaugural Tour De Yorkshire is happening in York on Saturday 2nd of May 2015, the day before we had scheduled this year’s YO1 Festival. The Tour de Yorkshire is a significant event for the city, it's residents, the hospitality industry and supporting services. York has been bestowed the honour of having a citywide street circuit, which, given the support for the Grand Departe, will provide a spectacle both on the circuit itself and across a number of associated events across the city.

The decision taken to run the Tour De Yorkshire on the 2nd of May was made by the UCI (one of world cycling’s governing bodies), and there were no other available dates within the world calendar. We fully support York’s decision to take on the event for the reasons stated above.

The management team of the YO1 Festival have been made aware of potential road closures set up around the Racecourse. Logistically, this of course draws unique challenges for the effective delivery of a festival the size of YO1, which in turn impacts aspects such as timings and costs for running the event.

As most people are aware, running a festival, whether it is large or small, a weekend event or a one-day extravaganza (such as YO1), isn’t an easy business these days.

We have considered moving the dates of the festival further towards the start of summer, and whilst there are dates we felt could be successful, we see the event happening within the university term as a vital part of its success. Further consideration and the decreasing availability of suitable headline acts for other dates have brought us to this decision.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in YO1 2014; the event showed the best side of York and we are all very proud of what was achieved. We will be back in 2016 with another great event for the city.

YO1 returns for a fourth year to offer multiple stages of music, a vintage fair, street food and micro ale festival on one big day out at York Racecourse, Knavesmire, in York on Sunday 3rd May 2015.

Line-up

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2015.

Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £30 for adults, £15 for a teen (aged 13 to 17 years), an Adult & Teen ticket is priced at £43.75, a student (with StudentID) is priced at £26.50, and a child aged 6-12 years is priced at £7.50.

All under 17's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 25 years during the whole event.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
