Whitby Folk Week is a long-standing celebration of the traditional music, dance and song of the British Isles has taken on the trappings of a tradition in its own right.

With over 600 events covering workshops, concerts, singarounds, dances, sessions, street entertainment and the extensive 'fringe' events that blossom spontaneously. The event takes place from Thursday 20th to Wednesday 26th August 2016.

Tickets are priced at £190 for a full adult season ticket (£240 with camping). Senior/Student tickets are priced at £168 (£218 with camping), and junior tickets for 11 to 16 year olds are priced at £116 (£136 with camping). Children aged under 11 years admitted free with ticket holders at most general events but must pay a nominal charge at children's events. A large tent or caravan surcharge (over £6m) is £50.

Day tickets are also available.

Camping

The Festival sets up a temporary campsite each year for festival season ticket holders. The temporary campsite will be in operation for the week of the Whitby Folk Week at Airy Hill School, Waterstead Lane, in Whitby.It is a basic site on a school playing field, but water, showers and toilet facilities are available.

Please note that dogs will not be allowed on the campsite.
