Underage Festival is an event for 14 to 18 year olds (strictly no over-18s; 18-year olds are welcome). It's run by London's Underage club.

Following on from the success of the first event in 2007, Underage Festival will return at Victoria Park, Hackney, London on Friday 8th August.

Musical savvy youngsters are able to attend this festival on their own. The bars will be soft drinks only and relevant food concessions will remain.

Confirmed acts include: Bombay Bicycle Club, Bonde do Role, Dizzee Rascal, Cheeky Cheeky and The Nosebleeds, Count & Sinden, Eugene McGuinness, Florence and the Machine, Foals, Fryars, Gallows, Ipso Factor, Glasvegas, Poppy and the Jezabels, Scum, Sons & Daughters, Team Waterpolo, The Rifles, Those Dancing Days, Wild Beasts, XX Teens, Operator Please, and Domino DJ's with more acts still to be announced. Expect around four stages of the hottest upcoming acts including Young Turk Soundsystem hosting popular bands doing DJ sets. The Horrors will no longer play at this year's Underage Festival. For the line-up details as available please click here.

Tickets are on sale, priced at £23 - click here to buy.

The event is expected to run from noon until 8pm. With not one complaint and an impeccably behaved crowd in 07 the organizers will this year be increasing the capacity from 5,000 to 7,000.

Strictly 14-18 year olds. Photo ID may be required to prove age.
Alcohol, drinks, bottles, cans and illegal substances are barred from the event.
It is a condition of entry that the ticket holder consents to being searched. Searches will be conducted in the presence of two, same sex (as ticket holder), CRB checked, S.I.A. officers.

To celebrate the release of their new single, 'UFO' (out on the 4th of August) Poppy and the Jezebels will not only be playing but have also decided to set up their own sweet shop for the day at the festival! Festival goers dropping by on the 8th of August will get a free goodie bag from one of the girls featuring Poppy and the Jezebels trading cards, badges and sweets inspired by the current and forthcoming singles - Sherbet UFOs and Rhubarb and Custards! The shop will be situated adjacent to Rough Trade stall.

More information will be here when available.
