Tribal Earth run three gatherings a year, and have done for the last decade. The summer gathering is the big one aimed the whole family with plenty of activities for the kids. The event takes place between Thursday 20th and Sunday 23rd August at Seddlescombe near Hastings, Sussex.

The musical line-up includes Zimbaramabwe (ft Linos Wengara Magaya), Skunkeye, Beyond The Beat, Manouchska Charleyville, Fire Labyrinth, and Daft Monkeys (TBC).

The friendly festival offers loads to keep festival goers entertained with an eclectic mix of folk and world fusion bands, a host of workshops - from belly dancing to shamanic journeying, Hindu chanting to learning the Samba and a chance to learn about permaculture, composting and others ways to tread lightly at the Green Workshops.

A weekend ticket inc camping for adults is priced at £95, teenagers (13-18) £50, and children (4 - 12) £40, under 4s can attend for free. One day passes are also available priced as follows adults £35, teenagers £20, and children £12.

The event also offers a human fire show, sound garden, healing area, food from all over the world, camp fire, drum circles and workshops, storytelling from the resident bard, sauna yurt, proper showers, childrens area where they can make lanterns, and opening and closing ceremonies.

Tribal Earth is a green festival. Last year the organizers built permanent peat toilets in the festival field. They encourage recycling, use solar power and as far as possible try to create a harmonious environment that respects both the land we borrow and the people that share this wonderful experience.

The committee of TribalEarth are very sad to learn of the Big Green Gatherings troubles. To have that happen at the last minute is criminal. To soften the blow a little we would like to offer BGG wristband holders a discount at the gate of £15off the full adult price of £95 bringing it down to £80 for three days of chilled fun at our Summer Gathering. BGG ticket holders just need to bring their wristband with them to qualify for the discount at the gate. (The event will not keep your wristband).

Please note Tribal Earth Gatherings are an alcohol and drug free zone.

As this is a child friendly event please also note that dogs are not permitted on the festival site or in the campsite.

More information will be here when available.
