Transition 2015

Transition takes place from Sunday 13th to Saturday 19th December 2015 at Avoriaz, Portes du Soleil in Morzine in the French Alps.

The sister festival of Snowbombing offers a week of skiing and snowboarding combined with acts and DJs.

Prices start at £99 for 6 nights’ accommodation and wristband rising to £349 for the full package that includes return coach travel from the UK, accommodation, wristband and 6-day lift pass. Transition also features 100% ski-in, ski-out accommodation.

Flights packages are also available, with transfers an easy 1 hour 30 transfer time from Geneva, an airport offering a great variety of flight options and low cost fares, with full packages from £334.

Transition will also feature Europe’s largest alpine meal featuring 2000 people. Armed with fire-torches, festival goers will take a skiing descent into a beautiful nearby valley to dine under the stars. Throughout the week there will also be a mountain BBQ (or barbiflette!) at the natural snow playground, the Burton Stash Boardpark and a 2000 player organized snowball fight!

As the sister event to Snowbombing attendees can also expect some 'bombing favourites like the Artic Disco Igloo, Rompa’s Reggae Shack, and the Ride & Seek competition. And it ain’t ‘snow’ party without the Pool Parties of which Transition will be holding two.

Plus eight bespoke clubs, daily mountain-top raves, forest-lit outdoor stages, intimate gigs, igloo disco battles, pop-up parties, and of course skiing and snowboarding.

The resort

Avoriaz is a winter resort in the French Alps. It is easily accessible from either Thonon at Lake Geneva or Cluses-junction on the A40 motorway between Geneva and Chamonix.

The town is completely pedestrianised allowing you to ski straight to your door in most accommodations, and the main forms of transport around the village is on foot or by horse drawn carriage. As a ski region Avoriaz offers access to nearly 650km of pistes in the Port Du Soleil region. It also offers 6 snow parks, including the Burton Stash Park, which is built from all natural materials and where features are carved into art pieces.

Snowboxx will be hosting their own Snowpark Party with a BBQ, Beers, music and the chance for festival goers to take part in mini competitions for prizes!.
