When the first thing you notice about a band is the fact that their drummer looks like a Rabbi – it probably means that you should be ready for an interesting performance.

The Kings have two things against them. The wind that plans to make the PA sound as if it has been turned off and a large portion of the crowd that have no idea who they are and simply wish to wait for The Pixies.

As they play through fifty minutes of their hits it seems that the front of the crowd is jumping up and down for the whole time whilst a glance around the rest of the audience will see several Pixies’ fans starting to nod their heads and enjoy the experience irrespective of the fact that it is not the Pixies.

Kings of Leon

With some solos that manage to defeat the wind and a sound that definately has a level of universal appeal, The Kings of Leon can go home feeling as though they’ve defeated two things that many bands fail at.
