More info

The Green Gathering follows the tradition of environmentally and ethically conscious events that have been known for over 30 years. These gatherings developed into the main 'green' events in Britain, if not the world, showcasing future technologies, alternative ways of life and inspired many people to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle before Green Living became mainstream.

The 2012 Green Gathering promotes and platforms sustainable lifestyles through combining education with entertainment.

Powered by renewable energy it will also host lively family gathering favourites including ethical markets, organic catering, speakers and films, music and cabaret stages, healing and holistic therapies as well as a variety of esoteric alternatives, traditional British crafts and workshops. There will naturally be a very fun, creative, energetic children's area. At The 2012 Green Gathering families are invited to play and learn together, relax and have fun.

The gathering is inclusive and 100% accessible with a specialist area with a team of dedicated people that will be able to assist with additional and specialised needs. To showcase local initiatives started by groups of people nationwide for the benefit of their community and for the environment, raising local awareness of the inevitable result of climate change and the end of cheap abundant oil.

Ethos

The Green Gathering 2012 aims to encourage people to rethink how they live their life's and to inspire them and their families to recycle, reuse and reduce, to become more self-reliant, to grow their own food, to learn a new skill and use public transport, all small practical steps to ease the negative impact modern society is having on the environment.

There will be more information here when available.
