This festival features several different gigs with acclaimed national and international blues musicians playing at a variety of venues around the picturesque seaside town of Swanage, on the South West coast of England. The 29th edition of the event takes place from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th March 2018.
All sorts of styles are represented such as acoustic, electric, rural and urban blues.
No acts have been confirmed yet.
There will be 30+ acts playing more than 60 gigs in 15 indoor venues, all with free admission.
There are open mic sessions every afternoon and usually a Blues Steam Train ride plus dancers, street musicians, jam sessions (Saturday and Sunday), buskers, Gospel Service, and workshops.
Organisers have had to discontinue the bucket collections due to problems with red tape, health & safety and insurance issues... so they are selling weekend wristbands instead as a pledge and a symbol of the attendees commitment these are priced at £10 for a weekend wristband.
Purchase of weekend wristbands is not compulsory although admission to each venue is at the discretion of the management and some venues may require wristbands to be worn.
Accommodation is available from around £20 per person per night in the town itself.
More information will be here when available.
