Off-Grid is a totally participatory, family-focused gathering bringing a practical exploration of community with some music too.

Sunrise Celebration takes place from Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd August 2010, at a new location near Cheddar, in Somerset.

Line-up

Simon Emmerson (DJ Set), Celtech, Seize The Day, Phillip Henry, Dan Arborise, Laienda, Phoenix Rose, Wriggles of Nen, Forcenra, Tim Hall & The Architypes, Sam Welbourne, Ravi Kora, Josi Nightingale & Gente, Sudha, Pink & Ruby, Martin & Su of Baka Beyond, and Avalon Roots.

Speakers include Litmus – Freeman on the Land, activist and author William Bloom, Mark Boyle founder of the Freeconomy Community, journalist and broadcaster Nick Rosen, Love Police founder Charlie Veitch, environmentalist Tamsin Ormond, The Kindness Offensive, and author Tony Wright.

Tickets

Adults (medium to high earner) weekend tickets are priced at £80, with a low earner ticket priced at £59, a child (aged 5-15 years) ticket is priced at £22. A car parking ticket is priced at £11, and a caravan/campervan ticket is priced at £22.

It's a place for community activists, transition-towners, green families, holistic practitioners, permaculturalists and anyone who wants to live a little more in tune with the planet. It's a place to gather ourselves and network with each other; to share our knowledge, skills and wisdom.

There will be an Open Discussion Hub, The Post-Economic X-Change, Leading Off-Grid Experts, Transition Towns Tin Village, Sustainable Communities Hub Avalon Rising & Ancient Futures - exclusive talks and workshops, Buddhafield Café, Solar Cinema, Kids Area - Feat. Forest School, Traditional Fair, Healing Area, Permaculture Garden, Mass Site-wide Games, Luxury Camping with Hearthworks, Medical Herbalists, Temple Spaces, Green Crafts & Alt technologies, Practical Activism, Crop Circle/Henge, SOL Sunrise Complementary Currency, Hot Showers, and Sauna.

The four-day festival will offer organic, local, food and drink, and a family friendly vibe. Bring with you what you expect to find and leave no trace behind!
