Stourbridge Blues Festival 2014

Stourbridge Blues Festival was for a short time cancelled.

The latest statement from Gary Child Festival Director says, "Early this week I made a decision to cancel this years event due to poor ticket sales but after generous offers from some of the acts we've now re-planned the festival to be a one day event on Saturday 17th May from 4pm to late. If you bought tickets a email will be sent to you giving you the opportunity to attend or get a refund. We are still offering free camping on the Friday and Saturday and people can pay on the door. The main reason we are desperate to stage this event is because of our aim to raise money for Cancer Research UK, so please try and attend. Thank you."

The second annual Stourbridge Blues Festival will now take place on Saturday 17th May at Old Halesonians RFC, Wassell Grove.

Line-up

The line-up will now feature Brothers Groove, Tom Walker Trio,  Paul Stedman Band, Big Wolf Band, Silver Thorn, and Matt Watkins.

Tickets

Pre-paid tickets are still valid, Tickets will be priced at £10 and available on the door. Under 16s have free entry, and there's still free camping available.

Fund raising

The event hopes to raise as much money as possible for charity - The Mary Stevens Hospice in Oldswinford.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
