This is the 42nd Southport Weekender. With more than 20 years of twice annual events, plans are again underway for another special line-up.

With a full line-up of DJs and live performances, there are 4 different arenas where weekenders can enjoy an eclectic mix of House, R'n'B, Soul, Breakbeats, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop and Garage music.

Blackbyrds, Fertile Ground, Eric Roberson, Luisito Quintero, Tortured Soul, and Tawiah will be appearing live in concert.

There will be a celebration of King Street Records 15th Anniversary with recording artists such as Barbara Tucker, Roland Clark, Joi Cardwell, and Monique Bingham.

Plus the following DJ line-up Joe Claussell, Quentin Harris, Joey Negro, Kerri Chandler, Gilles Peterson, DJ Spen, Carl Craig, Mr Scruff, Theo Parrish, Frankie Feliciano, Soul II Soul Soundsystem, Recloose, Patrick Wilson, Roland Appel, Studio Appartment, Rahaan, Jihad Muhammad, Zed Bias, DJ Meme, Phil Asher, Steve Sutherland, Ronnie Herel, Shortee Blitz, Snowboy, Kev Beadle, Bob Jones, Rampage, Sacha Brooks, Firin Squad, Norman Jay, Richard Searling, Terry Jones, Andy Davies, Mike Stephens, Gary Dennis, Steve Wren, DJ Diggz, Bigger, Bob Jeffries, Steve Butler, Simon Mansel, DJ Da Costa, Jonathan, Colin Patterson, Max Rees, Simon 'Schoolboy' Phillips, JP, DJ Swerve, and the final Southport Appearance and retirement gig of Billy Davidson.

This year there will be no early Thursday Arrivals but there's nothing to stop anyone booking a B&B in town. This year though there will be the option to stay the extra night after the Sunday finale (this must be organised with the reception desk on the Saturday) and one of the rooms will be open for the official after party.

All tickets for this event are sold out. The price of £140 included accommodation for 2 nights and 3 days in fully equipped self-catering apartments with use of all site facilities and entry to all dance arenas and live performances.
