The festival also recycles waste, as well as initiatives including composting, stall holder packaging policy, EcoBound education and awareness campaigns, and more EcoBound initiatives (yet to be announced). Festival organisers also match every Green Fee dollar with $2 of its own money, used to further offset carbon emissions. They also have a Tree-For-Ticket policy, where they purchase a tree for every ticket sold. In 2009 this led to 20,000 tree plantings across Western Australia.
There are good international transport links straight to Perth airport. If you are travelling from out of town to Busselton, buses will be organised to get you to the Festival. Bus tickets are limited and must be pre-purchased.
