Offering sixteen days of performance, visual arts, literature and music which envelops the city of Salisbury in a colourful and vibrant celebration of the arts.

The Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival takes place from Friday 24th May until Saturday 8th June 2013.

Line-up

The highlight events include King Lear by Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with violinist and conductor Pinchas Zukerman performing Mozart's Third Violin Concerto and Mahler's Fourth Symphony, Mark Padmore performing Schubert's song cycle Die Wintereisse, Tallis Scholars, Russian pianist Mikhail Rudy presenting Pictures at an Exhibition and Petrushka, and the Opera Project performing La Traviata.

Music events include Cobla St Jordi, The Solstice Quartet with Matthew Huber, The Hilliard Ensemble - Arkhangelos, Fretwork with Elizabeth Kenny - Dowland Lachrimae, War Horse: The Concert - Michael Morpurgo, John Tams and Barry Coope, Pinchas Zukerman & RPO - Mozart and Mahler, Eliza Carthy and Jim Moray - The Wayward Tour, Bath Philharmonia and Young Carers - Listen To Us, Quercus - June Tabor, Iain Bellamy and Huw Warren, Mikhail Rudy - Pictures at an Exhibition and Petrushka, La Troba Kung-Fu - Inside the Ox's Belly, Rainer Hersch's Victor Borge, Maquinofobia Pianolera - Carles Santos, Allegri Quartet - Alec Roth World Premiere, The Rite of Spring - Roger Bernat, The Tallis Scholars - Metamorphosis, Astrio - Don't Leave the Planet, Allegri Quartet - Alec Roth Masterclass, Carles Santos - Solo Recital, Mark Padmore & Simon Lepper - Schubert, The Opera Project, and Jordi Savall.
