The Great North Folk Festival is the new name for Festival on the Moor's May Folk Weekend takes place at Botton Village, nestled in Danby Dale in the Esk Valley, and takes place from Friday 26th until Monday 29th May 2017, on the bank holiday weekend.

Acts announced so far include: Tom McConville, One Million Motors, Devils Water, Geoff Higginbottom, Tom Patterson & Dave Morton, Pete Davies, Chris Milner, Fran Wyburn, Mel Langton, Graham Brotton & Jackie O'Neill, Maggie Feeney, Steve Dawes & Helen Pitt, Colleens Fancy, Kevin Young, Tony & Margaret Maughan, Richard Grainger, Bounty Hounds and many more with more to be announced.

Early bird adult weekend tickets are priced at £40. Concessions (65 & over, unwaged, student) are priced at £35, and child tickets (for those aged 5-16 year) £20.

On site camping for adults/concessions (age 10 and over) is priced at £15.

The weekend also offers singarounds, craft & music workshops, and an all day acoustic programme and real ale Bar.

As well as music there's historic re-enactors,childrens entertainment, traditional dance, ceilidh, festival food, real ale bar, workshops, meet the artists spots, concerts and arts & crafts on display and for sale, cd sales, and festival T-shirts.

Camping

Festival Campsite 1.2 m from Festival site (Hopper bus between site & main venue) Portable loos. Use of shower available. Part of small working farm and beautiful views of surrounding countryside.
