Last updated: Fri 16th May 2003

This local community music and arts festival runs right through the month of June and includes ticketed events at local venues leading up to a special two-day weekend festival finale.

The festival launches on Sunday 1st June with the UK's only Rolling Blues Festival on trains running on the Wickford - Southminster First Great Eastern railway line in Essex, which connects at Wickford regularly with the London Liverpool Street - Southend Line. There are bands and jam sessions at each end of the train.

There are many varied events throughout the festival period, June 1st-July 6th, including regular Thursday evening live festival gigs. There's also a food and craft fair, drumming workshops, performances from a brass band, local choir, and a scratch orchestra as well as rambles and charity fundraising days such as 'Karoake in the Co-op' and a 999 Day.

The FREE festival weekend, from 5th-6th July, on Burnham's waterside, features internationally renowned artists from the rock and pop world such as Third Degree Leburn from the USA and British roots rock from Amor.

The final weekend also includes a family-orientated town picnic on Sunday with children's entertainers, candyfloss, balloons, a bouncy castle and more.
