Get travel insurance and check what it covers. Apply for a European Health Insurance Card. Leave a photocopy of your passport with your family in the UK. Fill in the last page of your passport with your emergency contacts. When you arrive, make sure you lock your valuables in one of the lockers available on site. If camping, don't leave anything valuable in your tent. Carry a photocopy of your passport with you and leave the original locked away. Have one of your cash cards and some cash separate from the rest of your valuables just in case. Be extra careful in large crowds, keep your cash in a zipped pocked or bag. Follow the instructions of the event organisers and Spanish Police whenever necessary.

After it's over, be extra vigilant, you will be tired, which makes you more vulnerable. Don't fall asleep on the beach if you have your valuables on you Public transport can be busy so give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport or to get your train.

If something goes wrong, your local Consulate is available to offer help and support if you have been hospitalised, arrested or are a victim of crime.

More info

The Valley is a rural finca and therefore those with mobility issues may find the terrain unsuitable. There is a car parking area, and strong footwear is advised for the uneven, rocky terrain.

As well as music Riba Rocks offers art, craft, poetry and more including contemporary installation art, live graffiti art, art workshops & exhibitions, craft market, and land based site specific art. Riba Rocks co-founder, Sarah Misselbrook, is a practising artist and La Vall offers her a canvas for exploratory land based sculpture as well as installation art and performances. Daff Workshops are involved with Riba Rocks 2015: making festival decorations, selling craft work and providing art workshops in the Daff Café where you can relax, drink tea and eat delicious homemade cakes. We will also be running Glitterarti Face Painting in the evening to make festival goers glow in the dark with colour and sparkle.

‘La Vall’ is a rural finca (farm) comprising 15 hectares of olive, almond and fig trees. Set in a private valley the festival is completely ‘off-grid’ so there are no mains electricity or water supply. They use solar power throughout the year and rainwater is collected for washing. So expect waterless compost toilets, waste separation for re-use and recycling, compostable food packaging, rent-a-tent to avoid discarded tents, and the paperless ticket option is encouraged.

More information will be here when available.
