THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
Retro Festival has been cancelled.

A statement from organisers says:
"It is with deep sadness that this years Retro Festival will not be going ahead due to the venue at White Waltham Airfields cancelling because of extreme adverse weather conditions. The ground is not draining and this is causing the ground to break under foot, which as you can imagine would be extremely dangerous for festival goers, not to mention the huge amounts of heavy equipment that needs to be taken across the site in order to put on an event of this size.

We will be refunding all tickets, and refunding exhibitors and traders. This will start to happen at the beginning of next week, if you could please bear with us, we are a very small team but will do our best to get everyone refunded asap.

We only found out that we could not proceed with this event a few hours ago and would have liked to have informed everyone participating in the event before making this public announcement, but the rumour mill has started very quickly and so we decided we had to announce this now.

It is a shoot through the heart to every one on the team at Retro Festival that we, like so many events in 2012, are unable to put on our show for you due to the horrendous weather, even more heart breaking as we have had phenomenal ticket sales, and incredible support from all our supporters.

We would like to thank everyone who has worked so hard on this event, and like wise to all our supporters, traders, exhibitors, performers and ticket buyers. It would have been a completely wonderful experience, which we will endeavour to bring you next year.

So once again, our deepest apologies and huge heartfelt thanks to all of you.

Sadie and the Team at Retro Festival
."
