Happening on May Day Bank Holiday Weekend, from Saturday 5th until Monday 7th May 2012. Mayfest, will be held for a second time on Yarmouth Green between the Yar Estuary and Yarmouth Harbour. Mayfest is a FREE traditional weekend of Maypole dancing, Morris Dancing, live music, food, ale and cider and a whole host of other activities.

There are no music acts confirmed yet for 2012.

May Day Jouvay procession

On Sunday the May Day Jouvay procession from Fort Victoria returns for its third year, winding its way along the picturesque coastline before culminating on the Mayfest site with Morris Dancing from Men of Wight, Oystergirls and Bloodstone, alongside all the other activities available on the Saturday and Monday.

Activities

Free Carnival Skills Workshops, Free Flagmaking Workshops, Real Ale and Cider Great, Traditional Food, Live Acoustic Music from across the UK, Morris Dancing, Traditional Sideshow Games and Activities, Tai Chi, Acer Capoeira Mundo, Craft and Trade Stalls, and VW Damage Club.

Free Entry

Entry is free for all ages, no tickets will be sold for this event.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping, their are plenty of accommodation in the area including campsites.
