White Rose Winter Festival takes place at Ripley Castle, Yorkshire from Wednesday 1st to Saturday 4th December 2010 with each evening Each of the four evening (and Saturday matinee), will hosting a different internationally acclaimed production ranging from classical, opera, proms and west end.

Line-up

Wednesday 1st December - The Four Seasons by Candlelight (evening) - An evening of baroque classics, crowned by Vivaldi's masterpiece, will be performed in full 18th century costume in an evocative candle-lit style setting.

Thursday 2nd December A Night at the Opera (evening) - A selection of arias and music from the world's most famous operas including La traviata, I Pagliacci, Carmen, The Barber of Seville, Aida dn La Boheme, performed by three distinguished operatic soloists, a choir and the Manchester Concert Orchestra.

Friday 3rd December The Sound of Musicals (evening) - Stars from London's West End perform hits from My Fair Lady, Cabaret, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, West Side Story, Mamma Mia and many more accompanied by the Manchester Concert Orchestra).

Saturday 4th December Ripley Castle Winter Proms (Matinee and evening) - Classic .. after classic .. after Classic with a grand British finale including proms favourites such as Rule Britannia! Nessun dorma and Land of Hope and Glory.

Tickets for The Four Seasons By Candlelight, The Sound Of Musicals, and Ripley Castle Winter Proms (evening) are priced from £29.00, tickets for A Night At The Opera are priced from £31, and tickets for the Ripley Castle Winter Proms matinee performance are priced from £24. Open to 1,600 guests Ripley Castle will see festive lights and a Christmas tree paving the route to the illuminated entrance and the courtyard which will be transformed into a magical, heated and covered auditorium with a foyer bar and entrance adorned with a classic festive theme, comfortable seats and sound and lighting worthy of any world class production.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
