MACfest (a mostly acoustic Cumbria festival) takes place on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September 2009 and hopes to feature the cream of Cumbrian music, held at the Black Swan Hotel in Ravenstonedale, between Tebay and Kirkby Stephen in the heart of the Eden Valley.

Headlining the Friday night will be ceilidh band Striding Edge. other acts include Matt Woosey and the Strange Rain, Fiona Clayton, Paddy Rogan, Rob Heron, Paul Harrison, Gwen Hechle, The Northern Reggae Generator, The Wierdstring Band, Blue Jam Cumbria, Stooshie, Ethan Thomas, Eddie Allen, The Slabs, and many more to be announced.

Ticket prices start at £10 for Friday night, £15 for Saturday night and £25 for the whole weekend (which includes camping) if you buy in advance. To buy tickets online, click here. Tickets can also be purchased on the door priced £12.50, £17.50 and £30 respectively.

Around the site there will also be the Astral Circus, Fireshow, Stalls, Food, Beer Tent, Storytelling, Drumming Workshops, and more.
