Action Against Hunger host the inaugural Subway Picnic Rocks 2008, launching in London at Clapham Common Bandstand on Saturday 5th July 2008, 12-8pm. The picnic party will bring together rocking music, fresh food and a perfect picnic atmosphere - for one amazing day.

Artists confirmed so far are Amy Macdonald, The Holloways, The Metros, The Noisettes, Openroom, competition winners The 13, Shlomo and DJ sets throughout the day from Guilty Pleasures.

Subway Picnic Rocks is launching in London at Clapham Common Bandstand on Saturday 5th July 2008, 12-8pm. Artists also confirmed are Amy Macdonald, The Holloways, The Metros, The Noisettes, and Openroom.

Tickets are priced at £14.50, there are 3000 available and the cost of a ticket includes a free sandwich, and the first 1,000 people through the doors will get a free picnic blanket. To buy tickets, click here.

Subway Picnic Rocks is organised by Action Against Hunger to raise money for its work in the fight against hunger and malnutrition worldwide. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Subway stores in relation to the expenditure incurred in staging Picnic Rocks, EVERY PENNY raised at the event will go to Action Against Hunger (Registered Charity No. 1047501). The festival is also looking for volunteers to help with the event. No under 5’s and children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian aged 21 or over.
