Open from 12.30pm until 11pm, the Fire Festival is a free themed art and music festival taking place in Bournemouth on the 12th of May, designed for Bournemouth's party minded people, hosting fire performances plus an eclectic mix of live music across two stages.

The festival will be showcasing cutting edge fire art (including photography, moving image, av projection, installation and sculpture) plus fire performance groups, F.L.A.M.E, FenFire UK, Trickswop and Bright Sparx will be displaying their skills through juggling, eating, blowing, poi, staff, double staff, ropes, fire hula-hoop, and even human catherine wheels.

Music will include a wide variety of genres of which rock n' roll, nu-folk, swing, jive, alternative, ska, gypsy, skiffle, hoedown, traditional folk, hillbilly, blues, and psychobilly, are just a few. East London rock 'n' rollers, Vincent Vincent & The Villains, are headlining, with support from emerging Oxford indie electrobillies, The Mules, plus Cut A Shine, Kid Carpet, and The Glitzy BagHags are confirmed to be playing.

A huge fire art area will allow revellers to experience some fantastic art in the mediums of illustration, animation, projection, sculpture, installation and photography all with a fire theme. A themed bar, street artists, and sideshows will be adding to the experience, including Eco Arcadia, a bio-diesel powered pinball arcade.

The festival also has a wide range of stalls, including a World Food village with a selection of culturally diverse, healthy cuisine, plus workshops, a fully licensed bar and Glastonbury side show, "The Laundrettas".

The festival is in support of climate change charities and will also be offset so that it is completley carbon neutral.
