last updated : Wed 11th May 05 This event offers a daily 12 hour programme of entertainment, international cuisine, historical re-enactments and the chance to see (and board) a festival fleet with world class boats and yachts, tall ships, glamorous cruisers, war ships and working vessels. There are thousands of artists, entertainers, musicians, and performers commissioned: from a story-telling octopus, pirates singing shanties and a street full of Georgian characters to 4 stages of live music including salsa, shanty, jazz and world beats. There are also displays of traditional crafts and skills, model boat demonstrations, and interactive exhibitions, combat displays in a specially constructed arena from the Navy, Army and Air Force, nautical parades, leisure marine areas and a wide range of informative and educational exhibits. TICKETS: There is a slight reduction to ticket prices if you buy them in advance. Family tickets are for two adults and two children.
