Announcement:

A statement from Orchestival says:

"Orchestival is not going ahead as planned ...
Instead of a weekend event, we’ll be presenting a more intimate event on Saturday 19 July. However, it's our priority to ensure that you can enjoy a phenomenal musical experience at the Bath & West Showground in Somerset!
If you are already a ticket holder, we will be refunding your tickets and you will need to book again.
Please note: The Choir Competition has also been withdrawn from this year's event. "
====================

Somerset-based Charles Hazlewood (classical conductor) returns to host the second annual Orchestra in a Field now renamed Orchestival, and relocated to Royal Bath And West Showground.

Orchestival takes place now on Saturday 19th July 2014, after the event had to be cancelled last year.

Line-up

Orchestival presents a Kneehigh / Charles Hazlewood Production of Benjamin Britten's Noye's Fludde (Noah's Flood) with members of the Philharmonia Orchestra.

Members of the Philharmonia Orchestra will join opera singers and a chorus of hundreds of local school children in what might be the biggest community opera ever.

Also on stage will be the Exeter Recorder Orchestra, Chiselborough Hand Bell Ringers, members of COSMiC music club, Theatresaurus, pupils of Wells Cathedral School, pupils and staff of Brookside Community Primary School and the Quangle Wangle Choir.

The show will be followed by live music on the green, delicious food and drink, and plenty of activities to keep all ages happy.
