Now in it's second year the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival takes place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September, and sees ukulele players and music enthusiasts will be gathering at Huddersfield Town Hall and and surrounding areas.

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Del Rey, Andy Eastwood, Zoë Bestel, Tricity Vogue & her All Girl Swing Band, Paul Moore's Musical Medicine Show, The Mersey Belles, The Anything Goes Orchestra, The Uke Box, The Mother Ukers, Chonkinfeckle, Krabbers, EEK!, Vonck & Vlam (and more!)

There are a range of day and weekend tickets for sale (ranging form £39 for a full adult weekend pass to £23 Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain only ticket). Juniors tickets available and under 12s are, as always, free if accompanied by an adult. Last year's festival sold out  (and they didn't even have the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain playing!)

The Grand Northern Ukulele Festival promises more than just great music. Highlights of the weekend will include concerts on both Saturday and Sunday and a wide variety of events for a range of ages (including some free and family-friendly activities) and other opportunities to meet people, make things, and even a enjoy surprise or two. There will be a free Festival Fringe featuring an outdoor stage with some secret performances.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping. There are a range of hotels and B&Bs in the Huddersfield area. There are also some campsites.
