Open from midday to 8pm, on both Sunday and Monday, with brass, classical, swing, acoustic, rock, indie and world on the bandstand in Victoria Park; theatre, Canadian rap artist Baba Brinkman in the Central Library; jazz at the Corn Exchange; arts and crafts, street theatre and workshops.

This yearÂ’s event sees a whole host of different styles of dance showcasing local talent in the shopping centre, ranging from traditional English and Scottish dance to Italian, classical Indian, and Egyptian belly dance, plus a funky dance exercise programme and a class from Monkey Music introducing music and movement to the very young.

Confirmed so far for Sunday's Music Day in Victoria Park are: Karim Fanous; Odis Palmer; Firing Line; Blardy blars; Simon Scardanelli; Geist; Damian Etherington Band; Civilised Tears; Nina Mccann; and Conscience.

In conjunction with Newbury Fringe Festival the Bell Ringers from St Nicolas Church are opening the tower and inviting you for a tour at 3pm or 4pm on Sunday 27th May.

Also worth a look are the numerous free music workshops, catering for many styles, in the music tents at Victoria Park.
