Mighty Dub Fest 2010

The inaugural Mighty Dub Fest is a Volkswagen Family Weekend Festival in the heart of the North East helping to raise funds for The Great North Air Ambulance. It will be held from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th June 2010 at Newcastle racecourse.

Line-up

The evening entertainment will take place in the 900 capacity bar with acts including The Kush and Jisum on Friday night, Bryan Adams tribute band 18 Till I Die, Under the Driftwood Tree, Fizzyfish, and By Appointment on Saturday night, and Sunday day time will have Clear Blue Skies and Under the Driftwood Tree. On Friday there is also a Kids Disco (also on Saturday) and live coverage of England v Algeria (World Cup Match).

Tickets

Ticket prices for a weekend pass which includes all evening entertainment with camping is priced at £20 for adults in advance, £25 on the gate, weekend camping under 16 tickets are priced at £5, and an adult day pass for Saturday or Sunday is priced at £5, with an under 16 day pass for Saturday or Sunday £2.50. Entertainment

Daytime entertainment includes circus, dancers, live music, children’s music and art workshops, but most importantly, a large gathering of some of the best kept VW cars and campers in the country. The area in front of the main stand is where the car show will take place from classic Beetles to splitty campers.

Camping

Camping is available on the paddocks with family camping, but please note first come first served with families having priority. There is also the large polo field which is at the end of the racecourse for club gatherings with lots of space.

Getting there

There will be a FREE bus hopper service from Regent Centre & Four Lane Ends Metro Stations on each day.
