This eight-day festival celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender life, culminating in the Big Weekend with 62 hours of non-stop partying and fundraising in Manchester's Gay Village from 10pm, Friday 17th until midnight, Monday 27th August 2012.

Line-up

Steps, and Alison Moyet will headline with Björn Again, Louise Dearman, Scarletts Roses, Cleo Sol, Santiago Street Machine, FTW, Denise Black's Loose Screw, Bruno Langley and the Wonderland Band, Alexander Stewart, Hologram Heart Parade, 2 Shoes, Amelia Lily, Hatty Keane, and Mel Blatt. There are no other acts confirmed yet for 2012. There will also be a Fringe Poetry Slam, Cabaret La Queer, Margarita Pracatan, Theatre, Performance, Film, Chamber Music Concerts, and more.

The Big Weekend includes a main stage with live acts, cabaret stage, dance tent, sport zone, the largest ever mass blessing demonstrating for equal partnership rights, Lifestyle Expo (where you can get free holistic therapies or find about health needs), women's space, street and circus entertainment, market stalls and all the bars and clubs in Manchester's famous Gay Village.

The theme for this year's Manchester Pride Parade has not yet been anonunced.
