Land Of Kings returns on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th May 2012. The event will be based on the Dalston/Stoke Newington borders, at 15 venues in London. The festival connects a selection of venues with some of the areas artists, DJs, promoters and labels.

Line-up

The latest acts announced are Speech Debelle, Maurice Fulton, Bicep, Trophy Wife, Bos Angeles, NZCA/Lines, Breach, Hannah Holland, Stay+, Mo Kolours, Dreamtrak, Hall of Mirrors, Spirit of Mantra, All The Queen's Ravens and Stealing Sheep.

They join Slow Club, Factory Floor, Connan Mockasin, The Invisible, Maria Minerva, Toy, Great Waves, Kwes, Night Angles. Music showcases come from locally based curators including Moshi Moshi, Brownswood, NTS and Five Easy Pieces. With club nights from Durrr, Black Atlantic, Dollop, To the Lazer Cave all weighing in – DJs include The Horrors, Trevor Jackson, Is Tropical, Bullion, Gang Colours, Kutmah and Ray Mang.

Expect loft parties, rooftop gigs, basement clubs, bunkers of joy, music pubs, wonky cabaret and feasts of Dalstonian proportions.

The festival wristband will grant access to some of Dalston's best-loved venues, including The Alibi, Arcola Theatre, Arcola Tent, The Bunker, Dalston Roof Par, Eastern Curve Garden, The Print House, Moustache Bar, Shacklewell Arms, Servant Jazz Quarters, and Vortex Jazz Club, alongside a host of secret hideaways to be found.

Theatres, basement bars, clubs and pubs, cafes and warehouse spaces will host over a kilometre of locally sourced festival fun and provide the backdrop for a good old East End knees up. Guests will be able to dine on a regal banquet laid on by a host of carefully selected concessions as well as special discounts in local restaurants for festival-goers.

Art and interactive programme

Back with a broader Art and Interactive programme than ever, the Land of Kings brings installations and shows from Hackney Film Festival, Classic Album Sundays, Hammer & Tongues, Literary Deathmatch, Dalston Darlings Women's Institute, Gideon Reeling, 'Diet Coke is Illegal in the Philippines' by BestCleo, Classic Album Sundays (both days), Legacy in the Dust, and the Four Aces BBQ.

Elsewhere N16's warehouse theatre company, Stoke Newington International Airport, present their world-travelling, one-to-one performance concept night – Live Art Speed Date whilst local London Fields Radio invite punters and performers to drop in to their special onsite station. The Austerity Games will be taking attendees to the surreal depths of a bunker beneath Dalston's main drag for a series of random encounters.
