Ladyfest Bristol 2012

Bristol Ladyfest is a cultural festival running on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July. The event is designed to showcase women in the community who contribute a valid and significant amount of work to the art and entertainment industries.

Line-up

Saturday: Music at the Fleece from 5:00pm until late with Hysterical Injury, Mary Epworth, Rachael Dadd, Rita Lynch, Rozi Plain, She Makes War, Shrag, Straylings, The Horn The Hunt, This Is The Kit, and Drunken Butterfly.

Saturday daytime will feature cinema, art, unplugged sessions and workshops at various locations focusing on Stokes Croft including:
- A screening of Dreams of a Life and other films at No 51
- Silent Scream, Invisible Circus: No Dress Rehearsal and other documentaries with Q&A sessions at Art House
- Workshops for safeguarding and understanding modern feminist issues
- Classes on embossing, photography and flower arrangement
- Exhibitions by Rachael Dadd, Laura Kidd, Annie Gardiner and more
- Zine fair
- Open debate at The Canteen

Sunday: What the Frock present local comedienne talent at the Lanes, featuring Rose Wilby, Zahra Barri, Elf Lyons and more. Plus discount bowling and pizza.

Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £25. This will get you full access to all of Saturday and Sunday's events. Day tickets are priced at £15. You can also buy separate comedy tickets for Sunday evening only at £6. Please note that spaces at workshops will be limited and to ensure entry you must arrive at the venue early. Charity

Profits from the event will be split between four charities, all of whom make an invaluable contribution to keeping the streets of Bristol safe. These are Womankind + One25 + The Well + Rape Crisis.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
