The Harrogate International Festival plays host to a number of jazz, world and classical acts from Thursday 3rd until Saturday 26h July 2014.

Line-up

John Wilson Orchestra (with sounds of the MGM musicals), Bellowhead, Laura van der Heijden, Hannah Stone, Oddsocks, Stile Antico, Josephine Knight, Patricia Rozario, Medici Quartet, James Rhodes, are the first acts confirmed.

This year also sees the return of the Spiegeltent - a magical mirrored tent that takes up residency in the town throughout July - to host a packed programme of music, dancing, entertainment, and a dedicated Children's Festival.

Other guests include Viv Groskop, Jonathan Aitken, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Kate Adie, Simon Thurley, Linda Colley, Frank Gardner, Mrs Moneypenny, Ben Aaronovitch, John Crace and John Sutherland, Mark Watson, Jay Rayner, Arthur Smith, Mark Forsyth and Simon Garfield, Matthew Dennison, Ben Crystal, and Mark Ellen and Mark Billingham.

There will also be a children's programme, theatre performances and an outdoor cinema which will be showing the best of British film.

Harrogate International Festivals was founded in 1966 and is now a major cultural not-for-profit organisation delivering festivals, events and education projects of national and international impact in North Yorkshire.

Accommodation

Festival goers will need to find themselves accommodation whilst the festival is on as there is no camping facilities at the event.
