Gower Folk Festival takes place in the covered courtyard of The Gower Heritage Centre, Parkmill, in the Gower Peninsula, Wales from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th June 2010.

Line-up

New Rope String Band, Tom McConville Band, James Fagan & Nancy Kerr, Hell Said the Duchess, The Amigos Festival Band, Claire Mann & Aaron Jones, Sam Sweeney & Hannah James, Christi Andropolis & Dave Newey, Sandra Kerr, Jim Causley, Sam Carter, Pilgrim's Way, Kerry Fletcher, Carole Etherton & Andrew McKay, Annette Davies & Geoff Liles, Baggyrinkle, and more to be announced. Celtic Sound will once again provide the music for the ceilidh in the chapel on Saturday. There are no other acts confirmed yet for 2011.

Tickets

Tickets will be priced at £45 advance adult, £40 advance concessionary and £20 advance child, and will go on sale In January.

Camping

Festival camping is at Three Cliffs Bay Caravan & Camping site, quarter of a mile from the venue by road.

Food and drink

The festival bar is open all weekend and is hosted by The King's Head of Llangennith, serving real ales. The Heritage Centre tea rooms provide soft drinks, tea, coffee, snacks and a variety of hot meals. There is also a general stores in the village, open 7 days a week. But please note that the nearest cash-point machine is several miles away, as is the nearest garage. The nearest pharmacy is a mile away in Pennard.

Activities

The Gower Heritage Centre is home to a variety of traditional crafts, and regular demonstrations of woodturning and weaving. Activities such as puppet-making, pottery and craft workshops are available for children (at an additional cost). Kids will also have fun seeing ducks, chickens and sheep and there are also play areas.
