The Darkness were excellent on Friday morning. I don't normally like heavy rock, but they were just so amusing and entertaining to watch that the crowd lapped it up. The lead singer, Justin Hawkins, has charisma in abundance and isn't afraid to wear Van Halen-era white jump suits in the name of entertainment. And their first single 'Get Your Hands Off My Woman' is catchy as f*ck.

I did feel like I was watching Spinal Tap at times, but it was a brilliant way to start the festival.
