Garway Folk Weekend takes place from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th June 2011 in Garway, in the very south west corner of rural Herefordshire and only a mile or so from the Welsh border.

Line-up

Guests include Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer, Pete Coe, Sue Coe, Jeff Warner, Sarah Matthews and Doug Eunson, David Ferrard, Louise Jordan, Cupola, Ken Langsbury, Lynne Heraud and Pat Turner, Stone the Crows Ceilidh Band with Lynne Barker calling, Bailey Sisters, Deadmoney Duo with Cohen Kilcoyne, Fleurs de Lys, Squeake's Noyse, Pete Grassby, Kevin Sheils, Bob Axford, Compost Heap/Cathead Shantymen, Loxley, Infinite Cherries, Austen Keenan (storyteller), and many more still to be confirmed. Plus The Singing Tree, Garway Band and local singers and musicians.

Sides include Widders Morris, Foxwhelp Morris, Stroud Ladies Morris, and Leominster Morris. There will also be a French dance evening, preceded by a workshop. Floor singers will be welcome at the folk club and pub sessions, please note that no percussion may be used in the pub, marquee or hall due to a local restriction.

Tickets

Early bird weekend tickets are priced at £30.25 (early purchases up to 14th February 2011) and £15.25 for those aged 12 to 17 years, under 12s can attend for 25p. those aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. To buy tickets, click here.

Camping

Camping is available for weekend ticket holders priced at £10.25 per person, £5.25 for accompanied under 18s and 25p for under 12s. Camping is also half-price for stewards and booked dance teams (etc). This is for the whole weekend (up to 3 nights, depending how long you want to stay).

Entertainment

Garway Folk Weekend offers guests, song sessions, music sessions, Shanty session, Ceilidh, concerts, showcases, music and song workshops, Morris teams, storytelling, rural crafts, a village market, guided walk, and camping, a new beer tent and a club tent for young musicians, singers and dancers. Plus children's activities on the main site including Jan's Van, with a couple of shows just for them - more details as they emerge.

There will also be an enlarged folk market, including CD sales and food stalls, plus a new guided village walk, a celebration in the Templar/Hospitaller church, and more a new beer tent stage.
