FutureEverything offers world premieres of artworks, a city-wide music programme, and visionary thinkers from around the world across 4 festival strands - Art, Music, Ideas and events which will take place at various venues, clubs in Manchester and Salford. FutureEverything will take place from Wednesday 16th until Saturday 19th May 2012.

The festival presents exhibitions, conferences, performances and events, including many world firsts, with a focus on participatory artworks which re-imagine the city.

Line-up

FutureEverything will feature over 300 artists and participants, 100 events, in 30 city-wide venues over 4 days and nights. Amon Tobin headlines, Matthew Herbert's 'One Pig', Tim Hecker, Forest Swords, DJ Cheeba, Death Grips, Dieter Moebius Live Score "Metropolis 1927", Polinsk, New Sounds of the North, Shabazz Palaces, Holy Other, The Haxan Cloak, Vessel, Trojan Soundsystem, Alt-J, Money, Stealing Sheep, Great Waves, Pins, No Ceremony, Deadbeat, Andy Stott, Szare, Fab Lab Association, and The Electronic Exchange are the first acts to be confirmed, the full festival programme and conference speakers will be announced in early 2012.

Tickets

Now in its 17th year, FutureEverything is anticipated to attract over 75,000 festival visitors.

New for 2012

For 2012 FutureEverything has announced a major new partnership with MOSI, the Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester. Located on the site of the world's oldest surviving passenger railway station, MOSI's galleries and collections embody Manchester's diverse industrial and scientific past, present and future. Against this backdrop, the latest digital horizons will be brought to life in FutureEverything 2012.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
