Started in 1988 Belhaven Best Dunbar Traditional Music Festival takes place annually in the seaside town of Dunbar, Mid-Lothian, in Scotland, this year from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th September 2013.

Continuing in the same vein as previous years, the festival presents a mixture of Scottish, Folk, Appalachian, Jazz, and Blues music, and promises participation from every outlet plus strolling musicians and a ceilidh or two.

Line-up

Friday: Bluebelly, Andrew Gordon, Roy Moller, Ne3Folk, Flockhart Duo, New Shmoo, Graham Cairns & Friends, Sandy Legget & The Herber Mooths, Slainte M'Hath, Guy Heath.

Saturday: Children's Workshop hosted by Joanna Cockburn & Ne3 Folk, Diplomats of Jazz, Carmudgeon, Ewen Galloway & Stuart Adamson, Acoustic & Open Mic Session hosted by Eric Harley, Dunbar RBL Pipe Band, The Herber Mooths in Concert with John Leslie & Music Pupils, Ceilidh with Sandy Legget & The Carseloch, Hallhill, Slainte M'Hath, Carmudgeon, Roy Moller, Ne3 Folk, Guy Heath, Bluebelly, The Dana Dixon Band, Yard of Ale, Flockhart Duo.

Sunday: Family Concert with Yard of Ale, Afternoon Shindig with Sandy Legget & Friends, Acoustic & Open Mic Session hosted by Eric Harley, Guy Heath, Firefly, Slainte M'Hath, Christine Bovill, The Final Fling.

Plus various fringe events at hostelries with wandering musicians.

Tickets

All events are free except the fish supper is priced at £8/£6 and includes food.

The festival showcases local and young talent alongside well established and international artists.

The festival offers song, music, pipes and drums, children's workshop, informal tunes and sessions, concerts, ceilidhs, and open air performances.

Most of the events take place in various hotels, bars and halls in and around Dunbar. Many of these venues sell food and drink.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in Dunbar which are all supporting the festival.
