The bi-annual Dorchester on Thames Arts Festival has nearly 40 events put on between Thursday 28th April and Sunday 8th May 2011. The festival promises music, dance, drama, art and book readings.

Some of the main attractions include 33 Steps, African Hand Drumming Workshop, Art Room, BBC Elstree End of Festival Prom, Book of Voices, Brian Tufano, Busking in the Abbey, Ceilidh Picnic, Ceroc Fun Dance Night, Circus Skills Workshop, Come & Sing - John Rutter, Comic Art Masterclass, Cool & Crazy Praise Party, Dance Mats with Pegasus, Dorchester Ghost Trail, Festival Ball, Festival Craft Fair, Kevin O'Regan, Late Night Murder in the Abbey, Line Kings, Little Ballerina Dance, Little Magic Train Dance, Mark Walden - Author of H.I.V.E, May Morning Breakfast, Midsomer Murders Tour, Music for Autistic Schools, Pegasus, Saturday Morning Picture Show, Schola Cantorum, Schools Concert, Shedman at Dorchester Festival, Women of Note, and Words/Rhythms & Rhymes with Pegasus.

There are many free events. Others vary in price depending on the event. To buy tickets, click here.

Charity

The festival will put 50% of event profits to the Oxfordshire children's charity Seesaw. A registered charity that delivers essential support to local bereaved children. The 2009 Dorchester Festival was the most successful to date, they raised £20,000, which was split between SeeSaw and Dorchester Abbey.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
