The Dart Music Festival is a popular and widely acclaimed annual event, set in the beautful ancient port and town of Dartmouth, at the mouth of the River Dart, in South Devon.

The festival offers an eclectic mix of orchestral, rock, choral, blues, opera, folk, and jazz performances at a variety of indoor and outdoor venues including two churches, the bandstand in the Park, outside the castle, and various hotels, pubs, and restaurants, throughout the weekend.

This year's line-up has not yet been announced but includes both local, national, and international artists, from the obscure to the well-known; plus (and just about guaranteed to be in attendance) - the Dart Festival Chamber Orchestra, and HM Band of the Royal Marines.

The Dart Music Festival's motto is Music for All. Since it's inception in 1998, the Festival has attracted thousands of visitors and has become one of the stars in Dartmouth's calendar, appealing to old and young alike. There are many events from individual, group, and local school performances, to storytelling, dance displays and workshops.

For a programme (out in March/April 2008) and further details contact the Festival Hotline on 01803 833943, or Dartmouth Tourist Office: 01803 834224.
