The ninth Cosmic Puffin Festival will take place from Friday 29th April to Sunday 1st May 2016 at Mersea Youth Camp, Mersea Island, in Essex.

The festival is staffed and run entirely by volunteers in aid of Bliss, the special baby care charity and The National Autistic Society for people with autism and Asperger syndrome.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are:

Cosmic Stage: Deferred Sucess, One Eyed God, Jamie Williams & the Roots Collective, Abdoujaparov, Paradise 9, Deviant Amps, The Majestic, Dubbal, and A Mouthful of Ashtrays.

MyChoonz Stage: Eclectic Spacemonkey, Kozmik Ken, Flutatious, NUKLI, Sendelica, and Tanglemist.

The Something Else Tea Tent: Hubcap Moon, Philip Marino, Jamie Williams & the Roots Collective, Bex & Freda, Andy Twyman, Beardy Keef’s Big Uke Jam, Deniers, Brian Stone, EllY Tree, Ren Stedman, Ghosts Of Men, Threepwood, The Skraelings, The Penny Antics, T.I.M.E., T-bitch, Skeg, Platypus, Nick Parker, Folk The System, Gabriela Eva, and Funke and the Two Tone Baby.

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £55 per person all weekend including camping, a teen ticket is priced at £40 with kids free.

On site

The festival will be on the beach with an indoor stage overlooking the sea from the Bar. There will be a variety of local and not so local foods available, plenty of crafts, healing and activities for everyone including a Kids Area full of fun things to do and make, as well as workshops available. The festival will also offer real toilets and warm showers, and welcomes campervans.

Charities

The festivals' intention is to raise money and awareness for BLISS (helping babies born too soon), and The National Autistic Society. So far over £16,000 has been raised for their charities.
