Consett Festival 2013

Consett Festival will be taking place on Saturday 27th April from 11am-10pm, and happens at Consett Rugby Club Playing Fields, in Consett, County Durham.

Line-up

The Boneshakers, The Dust Town Dogs, LadyKillers, SkaMania, The Last Fakers, Six Nowt, Consett Phoenix Youth, Ego Trip, Pegz, Jon Gordon, Anthony Fish, Meghan, Loudichris, Ben Trennery, and Joe Hyam.

Tickets

An adult ticket is priced at £7, a Teen (aged 13-17 years) ticket is priced at £4 (pay on the gate), and under 13s can attend free. To buy tickets, click here.

On site

The Festival offers a full day of live music from 2 stages, family activities and an opportunity for local traders/business people to raise awareness of their business.

The activities

The activities include The Farmyard Flyer Bus with an opportunity to meet and feed farm animals, Climbing Wall, Zorbing, Face Painting, Paintball Arena, Bouncy Castles, Tile decorating, Musical instrument making, treasure hunts and a giant painting wall. There will also be a gallery featuring photographs taken in and around Consett over the years.

The stalls

There will be a range of stalls selling home made jewellery, knit wear, paintings, photographs, music and musical instruments, cakes, personalised pets accessories and local band merchandise.

Food

A traditional catering van backed up with fresh candyfloss, doughnuts and a hog roast.

Drinks

As well as the standard bar drinks there will be a Real Ale tent supplying locally produced Ales and Ciders.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

This is a non-profit festival to help promote the town of Consett and celebrate their heritage. Any profits will be directed back into the following year's festival.
