The festival organisers aim to bring together the very best of 'old and new' by presenting long-established folk artists, as well as some of the best young talent around, including students from the Folk and Traditional Music course at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Some of the 24 artists on this year joining headliner Bob Fox include:
Kimber's Men, Ron Gardner, Joe Stead, Beeswing, Dave Minikin, Dave Ellison, Donal O'Connor, Something Nasty in the Woodshed, George Welch, John & Caroline Bushby, Calum Stewart, The Evil Sweeties, Chris Milner, Chris Ricketts, Exiles From Eden, Few Broth, Shy-Talk, Anna Louisa, Michael Watson, Zulu storyteller; Nkosana Mpofu, and Dave Forshaw.

There's also dancing, colour, and merriment from 4 dance sides: Addison Rapper and Clog, Hexham Morris, Hexhamshire Lasses, and Clogarhythm. With 60 artists booked in total, there's something for everyone.

There are also workshops & sing-a-rounds, stalls, arts & crafts, BBQ, and a fast food outlet, plus late bars, and bar food.
