The 13th Buskers Bern Street Music Festival takes place at various venues in Berne in Switzerland and is held from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th August 2016.

The programme includes Balkanophonia, The Beez, Blind Butcher, Cia Delá Praká, Die Duoten, Electric Circus, Fatras, Figurenkombinat, Flying Buttresses, Des Fourmis dans la Lanterne, Fraser Hooper, Jolly & the Flytrap, Jon Kenzie, King Porter Stomp, The Langan Band, Leïla Martial & Valentin Ceccaldi, Lotta & Stina, La Mal Coiffée, La Malette, Marey, Minitheater Hannibal, Nakupelle, Ohrbooten, The Penny Black Remedy, Pikzpalace, Pulcinella, Sandra Rehder Tango Quartet, Sarsalé Flamenco, Schüpp, Sedaa, Silberen, Šuma Covjek, Tcha Badjo, TOF Théâtre, tonneCtion, and Wakouwa Teatro.
Expect around 150 artists from around the world in more than 300 shows at more than 30 venues around town.

Street entertainers from all over the world gather on the streets of Berne's old town for the Buskers Bern Street Music Festival. A head-spinning melange of performers tempt passers-by to part with their hard-earned francs.
Pretty much anything goes at the event, so come with an open mind and pockets full of change. The festival aims to raise the profile of the humble busker and welcomes the cream of the crop, featuring everything from modern dance and smooth jazz to puppetry and comedy acts.

Postal buses depart from the western side of the train station By rail, there are services at least hourly to most destinations, including Geneva (1¾ hours), Basel (70 minutes), Interlaken Ost (50 minutes) and Zürich (one hour).

Bern-Belp airport is a small airport with direct flights to/from Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Barcelona and London City with various budget airlines.
