The Elizabethan family home, Burton Agnes Hall, East Yorkshire, will be hosting a sixth Jazz & Blues weekend from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th of July with live music, picnics in the grounds and children's entertainment. The festival is organised by its sax-playing owner Simon Cunliffe-Lister and jazz singer Saffron Byass.

Line-up

Friday Evening: Alligators, Bandiqu, John Cox, Zena James, Octopus.

Saturday: This Way Up, King Courgette, Val Marshall, Ian Siegal & The Mississippi Mudbloods, Stacey Kent, The Give A Little Love Jazz Orchestra, Zoe Gilby Quartet, The Lemon Monkeys.

Sunday: Ben Beattie's Jazz Essentials plus Simon Cunliffe-Lister, Sean Taylor, Tribute to Atlantic Jazz, Rob Law Quartet with Thom Whitworth.

Held over three days, with performances both inside the Elizabethan Hall and outside in the Hall's grounds, the Burton Agnes Jazz & Blues festival presents a varied line up of funk, traditional jazz, hard blues, dreamy vocals and everything in between.

On Friday and Saturday evening the Wolds Top beer tent will play host to the Beverley Arts Trust's late night sessions of folk, jazz and rhythm 'n' blues.

Early bird tickets are no longer available, prices as as follows:
Weekend Ticket £50.
Saturday Day Ticket £35.
Sunday Day Ticket £30.
Fri Evening Ticket £25.
Children under 12 have free entry provided they are with an adult.
Concessions: £2 off the prices shown for season ticket holders, OAPs, Children 12-15 years old.

Facilities

There will be a bar serving local beer and chilled wines. Locally farmed meat available from the barbecue. The Burton Agnes shops, ice-cream parlour and cafe will be open throughout the Festival. Art and crafts will be on sale in the Crafts tent and children's entertainment will be provided in the grounds. Guests are invited to bring picnics.

Children

The festival has a Children's Corner with play area; 15 acres of gardens to explore including a walled garden with maze, jungle garden and giant games; and a woodland walk with forest creatures to find. We will have face painters and a children’s entertainer during the weekend.

Opening hours

The festival runs from 6pm-11pm Friday, 11am-10pm Saturday, and 11am-6pm Sunday.

Camping

A campsite in the field adjacent to the Hall offers welcome hot showers and views of the Yorkshire Wolds for those wishing to pitch a tent for a night or the whole weekend. Camping Vouchers offering camping from 3pm Friday until noon on– Monday are priced at £30 or £35 after 31st May

Hall

Festival tickets also entitle festivalgoers entry to the Hall and its gardens, and award-winning local produce is on sale throughout the three-day festival, including the famous Wold Top beer.
