BOMfest 2012 has been rescheduled.

A statement from organisers says:
"The management have been forced to reschedule BOMfest 2012 due to reasons beyond our control. We are very disappointed to have to deliver this news but have decided that due to the circumstances that surround us we are left with no choice but to change the date.

The management have chosen the Summer / Autumn equinox as the rescheduled date which lands on Saturday 22nd September.

Artist, contractors, Stalls/vendors and volunteers are being informed today (Thursday) and we will be keeping the public informed of the latest news as it comes in through this site, facebook and twitter as well as local radio and press.

Tickets and camping bookings for 28th July will be valid on 22nd September
."

Barnsley Original Music Festival (BOMFest) plans to return to Worsbrough Mill, Worsbrough Bridge, Barnsley, South Yorkshire on Saturday 22nd September 2012 from 11:30am until late.

Line-up

BOMFest will have multiple stages featuring 100 bands, and 40 DJs. The rescheduled line-up is:

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £35 for family tickets, £20 for adults, and £10 for under 16s. Tickets are not currently on sale.



About

BOMfest is an annual summer outdoor original music festival for unsigned bands who play their own music and is organised by local volunteers and Barnsley Original Music collective (B.O.M.). The festival will be in its 8th year in 2011 and will also host Circue de Manc from Manchester with a 12 strong Burlesque extravaganza, and Chris X, Mickey Bimble and Fairies on Stilts provide entertainment for the younger generation.

On site

There will be a variety of stalls at the festival from jewellery, records and craft stalls. Plus food vendors, a bar area on site in the main arena, workshops, and parking. There will be a creative art activity for children, with a procession expected around the site.

Camping

Camping will be limited in numbers (no car access) and will be situated in a specific area within the perimeter of the festival and will have provided its own facilities. Ticket holders can apply for a camping pitch from April priced at £5 per head.

Parking

The official BOMfest car par is located 300 meters from the event and no cars will be allowed onto the site.

Food and drink

Vendors will be located onsite to provide hot and cold food and drink. The licensed bar will open at 1pm and close at 1am.

Official fundraising charity

Barnsley Hospice do great work in the community as we all know so BOMfest has this year decided to raise money for this worthy local cause and has made them the official fund raising beneficiary.
