Bluesfest - The International East Coast Blues and Roots Festival held at a new site Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, near Byron Bay, Australia over the Easter weekend from Thursday 21st until Tuesday 26th April 2011.

Bluesfest offers all kinds of blues music, world music, roots music, and a hybrid of those and other cultural styles under one umbrella - Blues & Roots Music. Bluesfest has continued to evolve incorporating surf culture, Latino Music, African Music, as well as political and environmental message artists.

Tickets

Weekend tickets have sold out. Adult 5 day tickets were priced (in Australian dollars) at $349, 3 (consecutive) days $255. Child (age 5-14) tickets for 5 days are priced at $95, a 3 day tickets is $70. There are one day tickets available.

All Kids under the age of 5 are free. Children between the age of 5 and 14 inclusive have to be in the supervision of a Responsible adult. Other ticket options are also available. To buy tickets, click here.

Camping info

Camping will be available at the festival. There will be a regular shuttle service from the festival to and from Byron Bay. In addition there are several options for public transport to and from the Festival.

The Festival is a licensed event with plenty of bars to pick from. No Alcohol or Glass allowed. There is a wide variety of food at the international food fair, which is held inside the festival.

Green ethics

Bluesfest has had many years experience as a green event organisation incorporating green ethics, the principles of environmental sustainability and each year they actively pursue opportunities to implement these principles in the management of the festival.
