There are loads of music events, dance sessions (including Morris Dancing around the town on Saturday) and workshops with local performers as well as those from further afield plus a bar at most venues.

The festival includes a 350-seater theatre and also features a unique concert venue, the Kathleen & May, the last working sailing ship.

There first acts confirmed for 2009 are The Demon Barbers Roadshow, Spiers and Boden, The Maybelles, The Navvies Wife (show), Bursleden Village Band and Sibby, Mick Ryan and Paul Downes, Pete Coe with Sue Coe, Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer, Barron Brady, Jim Crawford Blues Night, Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll, Coracle, Bloatertown Band, and The Oggle Band.

There will also be National, International and local South West artistes attending a day of dance, at the weekend Morris Festival, with Irish Session, The Big Sing, The Big Music Session, Lunch time dances, meet the artistes, workshops, song and music sessions.

Expect a line-up of artists, covering the traditional to the contemporary, there will be something for everyone in the audience to sit and listen to, and soak up the atmosphere.

The Festival camp site is 3 minutes drive or a 20 minute walk (alongside the River Torridge). There are showers and toilets on-site and a marquee for informal sessions. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
