BASS (British Art and Street Sounds) Festival, the UK's only month-long celebration of Black music and art, returns to various venues in Birmingham, in the Midlands throughout the month of June with a city-wide feast of urban culture.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are Ghostpoet, RoxXxan, Benji, Juice Aleem, Pauline Black, Spec Boogie, Jean Binta Breeze, Juice Aleem, E Double D, DJ Miss C Brown, The Spiral featuring Moqapi Selassie and Decyphe, Annette Fagon, Unique, Sykes, Amazon Sheek, Indigo, Turbo off of Sky's Got to Dance, multimedia artist Leon Sparkes and illustrator Deborah Brogden, and streetwear designer Soapbox World, who can be seen at Hip Hop Revolution on the festival's last day.

Theme

Now in its sixth year, BASS 2011 is bringing the theme of Revolution to Birmingham with a range of music, arts and fashion events in venues across the city.
